They're definitely thicker/padded. But I was able to go a whole day (probably amost 12 hours) with them on a heavier flow day and not leak. Definitely can't wear with tighter pants as the padding will show but they're comfortable, the price is great, and it's FSA/HSA eligible, and they can be washed and dried with normal laundry which is another plus.This one might be a bit warmer/less breathable for hot days - the sport version one might be better.
