100% Long-Staple Cotton Sateen. All our sheets and pillowcases have small dots embroidered along the edges in subtle colors, bringing a gentle note of distinction to the fresh white material. We use only long-staple cotton in our products as it creates a stronger, more supple weave than regular cotton. We spin the long-staple cotton into single-ply yarn, which again contributes to a softer, more durable fabric. Our sheets use 60 to 80 yarn thread counts, which is very high quality. Our sheets are 300 thread count, which is on par with many luxury bedding brands, especially considering that we are using single-ply yarn (thread count is calculated on total threads, and does not take into consideration the length of the cotton or the amount of threads in a single strand). Villa Cotton sheets are all made using the Sateen weave which exposes more thread surface and gives the material its silky texture.
